Beauty selection: our little pleasures at low prices

A refreshing grape and mint mist, a monoi scent that repels mosquitoes, a daisy tonic oil… Our beauty finds to prolong the summer.

Our selection of treatments that smell like holidays

The secret baby face Swedish tops? A regular exfoliation with this pineapple enzyme powder that quickly eliminates dead cells. To activate these gluttonous enzymes, mix a hint with rose floral water and a drop of vegetable oil. Then, massage in circular movements, avoiding the eye area, leave to act for 10 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.

Exfoliating Face Powder, Björk and Berries, €25.

These extra-fresh organic cold-pressed carrot and melon treatments are sent to your home the same day. They guarantee us the highest concentration of active ingredients, the skin keeps its summer color, and we take our five fruits and vegetables a day.

Healthy Glow treatments – mask, serum, lotion, jelly, make-up remover –, Freeedge Beauty, from €12.99.

  • Daisy oil

We love it a little, a lot, passionately… for its toning virtues on softened skin after a good day under the sun. Use on damp skin after the shower and as an invigorating massage, to preserve all its firmness.

Organic Daisy Oil, Natessance, €10.90.

  • Transform your bath into a water sorbet

No, no… these little pots that look like summer sorbet cannot be eaten. These are bath bombs with the flavors of our favorite ice creams: vanilla-strawberry, raspberry-blackcurrant, coconut-passion… Once in the bathtub, they color the water, smell super good and leave the skin very silky.

Bath Bomb, Les Petits Bains de Provence, €3.99.

  • A bottle of 100% beauty milk

The sexiest shower of the moment, with vegetable milks of rice, centella, flax, and virgin olive oil. And on the skin? A cleansing emulsion so soft and so comforting that the skin drinks it like whey. And we find ourselves wanting to make the pleasure last.

Milk Body Cleanser, Fresh, €11 for 75 ml.

We know that you should always have a good moisturizer with you, especially in summer. It also has the luxury of being stuffed with silk tree extracts and pink pigments with anti-fatigue effects. Enough to win our vanity visa hands down.

Skin Blush Treatment, Embryoliss, €30.

  • A glam mosquito repellent

Thank you mosquitoes for making us draw this repellent spray. It smells so good of Monoi that you’ll want to keep spraying it when the voracious critters have packed their bags. The icing on the cake, it is healthy, moisturizing, lasts 8 hours and also protects against tiger mosquitoes.

Bodyguard Perfumed Mosquito Repellent, available in 7 scents, €12.90 for 100 ml.

Cosmetics good vibes

To make us smile in the morning, our little boxes of cherished make-up take on mischievous airs signed by the illustrator Mathilde Cabanas. In addition, blush is a must this season: we love it!

Mathilde Cabanas x Bourjois collection, exclusively at Monoprix, €12.99 each.

  • An eyeliner full of character

After highlighting our eyes with a line of black pencil all winter, we go for colored eyeliners. Explosive blue, Barbie pink or bling gold, we are spoiled for choice. Then we have fun: fine line flush with the eyelashes for a colorful touch, extravagant eyeshadow style or ephemeral tattoo drawn on the shoulder, in summer, everything is allowed.

Your choice: Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner, Sephora, €10. Aqua Resist Color Ink Liquid Eyeliner, Make Up For Ever, €25. Color Excess Gel Eyeliner, Mac, €25.

  • A tube eyeshadow

No need to overload your vacation kit. These cream shadows in soft, gently iridescent colors don’t take up space, are quickly applied with the finger and are formulated with organic green tea and extracted from quinoa peptides, to nourish and smooth the eye contour.

Eyelight Cream Blush, RMS Beauty, €28 each.

In addition to smelling like orange blossom, this dry oil with argan and sweet almond glamorizes everything in its path: legs, décolleté and tips of the hair. To apply in the evening, because it is not exposed to the sun.

Shimmering Oil, Voilà, Blissim, €27.90.

  • Nail polish to match the decor

We had already fallen for Bleu Sarah paint (by designer Sarah Poniatowski and the Ressource brand) to brighten up the walls of the bathroom. Here it is, like the house’s other iconic shades, in a varnish version – composed of ingredients of natural origin and made in France – to show off with matching nails.

Sarah Blue Nail Polish and Chinese Tea, Maison Sarah Lavoine, €18.

  • A touch of coral on the lips

Since the end of wearing the mask, sales of lipsticks and glosses have soared (+35% the week that followed). The shades to adopt this summer? Definitely pop and glossy, like this dazzling coral, to joyfully illuminate golden skin.

Choose from: ColorStay Satin Ink Liquid Lipstick, Fire & Ice, Revlon, €11.50. Brilliance Lipstick, Tang Thang, Fenty, €22. Glossed, Gloss Chic Sephora, €10.99.

A perfume of holidays

The beach and the sun are already far away? It doesn’t matter, we treat ourselves to an olfactory journey with these eau de parfum made by master perfumers. Head for a Brazilian beach with Bahia Samba, with sunny notes of creamy coconut and orange blossom. A trip to a Cuban bar with Cuba Club, with scents of spicy vanilla and amber tobacco, or even to India with Bombay Chic, a sexy swirl of patchouli, pink berries and ginger.

Perfumes Les Signatures, Adopt, €16.95 for 50 ml.

  • A plant infusion

We wake up in a festive mood with a cloud of orange blossom water, grapes, mint, rose and rosemary. It’s fresh, it’s stimulating, it smoothes the skin texture and gives it, as a bonus, a nice boost of radiance.

Eau de Beauté, Caudalie, €11.90 for 30 ml.

To sweep away sun filters after sunbathing, long live these organic shea butter soaps which also deliver a lather that smells of essential oils. Mint, geranium, lemon or lime blossom, with boosting or relaxing effects, they boost our endorphin levels to the zenith.

Choice of: The Happy Soap, Relaxing, Time, €14. Organic Solid Plant Shower, Geranium-Litsea Cubeba, Weleda, €4.30. Exfoliating soap with lemon tree and poppy seed honey, Secrets de Miel, €14. Shea-Mint Exfoliating Soap, Naturhôna, €6.

  • Flowers to enhance the hair

We prick them in our hair, bohemian chic trend, as on the spring-summer fashion show of the designer Naeem Khan, to give style to a hair a little wild on the return from the beach or to slump her little evening bun.

Barrettes and clips from €10 at Claire’s.
