3. Why a natural cleanser?

Washing means removing dirt, sweat, excess oil and body odor. For this, there is no need to use aggressive cleaners. However, many traditional products made with synthetic ingredients are synthetic and therefore risk drying out and irritating the skin. Gone are the days of tallow fat and ash soaps! Today, there are a myriad of natural products, from herbal cleansing creams to gentle bar soaps infused with essential oils, specially formulated for your skin type.

4. Surfactants are essential

Magical ingredients par excellence, surfactants are the essential components of any cleaning product: they dissolve dirt and bacteria and allow water to wash them away. Essential oils and plant extracts are often included, either for their fragrance or for their therapeutic properties. Tea tree oil, for example, is popular with blemished or irritated skin. When buying a natural body wash from the store, make sure it contains decyl glucoside, a mild, plant-based, biodegradable surfactant.
