A key step
Skin hydration is a key step in our beauty routine. Indeed, for a radiant complexion, the hydration of the skin plays an essential role. It also helps prevent its aging and preserve it from all external aggressions. To display perfect skin, it will therefore be a question of not ignoring the hydration of the skin on a daily basis and that, regardless of the type of skin. Because yes, whether you have oily skin, combination skin or dry skin, moisturizing your skin is essential. It’s all about knowing how to choose the right treatment for your skin. Sensitive skin will need a comforting texture and super moisturizing ingredients, and skin that tends to become oily quickly can instead opt for treatments that limit excess sebum while providing the skin with a creamy and moisturizing texture.
At what age ?
With age our skin tends to lose collagen, and therefore elasticity, which is the cause of the famous wrinkles and slackening of the tissues. We tend to think that the skin ages from an advanced age. However, the ability to produce collagen decreases throughout our lives. It is estimated that we lose on average 1% of collagen each year from the age of 30. But does that mean that you shouldn’t moisturize your skin first? The answer is no, because our skin is constantly exposed to external factors that can cause premature skin aging. Prolonged exposure to the sun is one of them, for example, but the cold, pollution, heating and wearing a mask also contribute. This means that over time, our skin loses water and its cells become dehydrated. Hence the importance of having well hydrated skin.
Although there is no specific age for starting to moisturize your skin, each skin regenerating at its own pace, it is generally advisable to start using anti-aging creams around the age of thirty. Before this age, it will nevertheless also be necessary to apply a treatment adapted to your skin as a preventive measure: indeed, some people will have less elastic skin due in particular to their genetic heritage, but also to their lifestyle, and the first signs of aging can then quickly appear. The French brand Typology, to name a few, has for example developed products, so the formula has been specially designed for young skin. It offers face creams that help restore the hydrolipidic film of the epidermis for all skin types. The Celestetic laboratory has developed a mattifying and restorative cream ideal for skin with imperfections. Around 30 years oldthe skin reaches a certain maturity, it is therefore imperative to continue to moisturize it by adding an anti-UV filter to delay the oxidation of the skin. Around 40 years old, the major concern often lies in the loss of firmness. It’s time to turn to creams with anti-aging active ingredients. Finally around 50 and 60 years old, the skin tends to slacken, it can easily dry out and this is when wrinkles and fine lines are more pronounced. Always continue to moisturize your skin!
