The Itsasuar Battitta Ducassou who, at the end of this day, won two gold medals with bare hands. But who rather retained the exceptional atmosphere of the Berria trinquet in Hasparren at the end of the final of bare hand head to head. While the public is usually divided between Larralde and Ducassou in the parties which regularly oppose them in this forum, this Friday evening, “everyone was there for us, and it feels good!”.

Individual bare hand: French gold medal and Spanish tears
At the Berria d’Hasparren trinquet, it was a highly anticipated meeting and the French gold medal was won, but the game was disappointing to say the least. In the 1×1 bare-handed final between the Frenchman, defending champion, Battitta Ducassou and the Spanish Luis Sanchez, the very close first set was awarded to Ducassou with a score of 15 to 14. And during the second set, the game had to be interrupted after an injury to Sanchez who was leading 2-1. After a few minutes of interruption, in tears, the Spaniard forfeited and Ducassou was thus able to keep the title of world champion. A title won under these conditions, what effect does it have? “It’s no less fun but it’s a different flavor__. The pleasure, we will appreciate it later by looking at what has been accomplished, the work it has required” said Battitta Ducassou after the game.
