The Voiles d’Automne have dropped off in style in Saint-Tropez!

It was once again a great nautical event in Saint-Tropez with the Voiles d’Automne and the First 31.7 Mediterranean Championship which took place from November 11 to 13, 2022 in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez with sixty-two sailboats in lice divided into five groups; two Osiris, two IRC and the First 31.7 class.

Despite the regatta day on Saturday, which was canceled due to lack of wind, the race committee led by Georges Korhel was able to launch four good races, two on Friday with very good conditions and an easterly wind of 10 to 12 knots and two on Sunday with a wind at 80 from 15 to 20 knots.

In the meantime, the crew evening brought together more than three hundred crew members in Saint-Tropez in the mythical place of La Gioia, VIP Room.During the award ceremony, the President of the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, Pierre Roinson, first wanted to thank the many competitors who sometimes came from afar, but also all the teams at sea and on land, including the indispensable volunteers from the Club. “I would also like to thank the First 31.7 Attitude association and its President Dominique Lexa for having joined the Voiles d’Automne with no less than twelve units. Without forgetting the partners of the SNST including Bernard Optic who offers pairs of binoculars to the first of each class! »

Dominique Lexa warmly thanked the Société Nautique and its management team for their warm welcome during the Voiles de Saint-Tropez in order to host the First 31.7 Championship during this event. The class participants responded well to the call with twelve units from the French Riviera and even beyond with a team member from Toronto!

“Our association allows us to promote one-design. It is the form of regatta that we prefer. The 2023 First 31.7 attitude calendar is already in place with a first event in April in Port Grimaud »
