When a former nurse at the Rouen University Hospital becomes a shopkeeper in the service of equipment for future or new mothers: Nadège Chesnel has just created the Vanille Coton concept-store, a bubble of well-being dedicated to the world of new -borns and toddlers.
It can’t be invented: Nadège Chesnel, a former nurse at the Charles-Nicolle University Hospital in Rouen, has set up her business on rue de l’Hôpital. This mother of two children has taken her professional retraining head on by opening Vanille Coton, a concept store of clothing, accessories and care for newborns and toddlers (from birth to 3 years old) on November 9. .
The new entrepreneur, entirely focused on the well-being of babies, wanted
change the working environment but not the credo: support parents at the birth of their child with advice and suitable articles.
Nadège can thus take advantage of the experience of a fine career in the medical field: for nearly 15 years, she flourished as a nurse specializing in neonatology. Expert in the care of very premature babies.
Hence the originality of his shop. Because in the Vanille Coton catalog, beyond the ranges of clothing, pregnancy necklaces, bath toys and other sets of wipes, there are rare tailor-made references for the hospitalization of premature babies.
Leisure (cuddly toys, stuffed animals, night lights, etc.), 100% natural cosmetics, babywearing equipment or breastfeeding aids are well represented.
All the products distributed respect the values dear to Nadège, who is very concerned about ethics. She selects creations mostly from French and European brands and/or committed to the defense of social or environmental causes.
Witness the Belgian brand Baby on the move, whose nursing scarves are made in Peru: it stands out for its action in favor of women’s autonomy. As for the French brand Graine d’amour, based in the south, it shines with the organic character of the cotton of its angel nests and pajamas.
The house’s slogan, “Vanille Coton, c’est trop mignon”, fits like a glove to this brand designed as an island of appeasement, a bubble of softness where parents are welcomed in padded comfort (corner for breastfeeding, changing table, etc.).
From December, Vanille Coton will be providing a non-medical treatment for babies (up to one month) very popular with young parents today: the wrapped bath. It consists of a relaxing bath session to a background of Zen music. The immersion in water lasts 10 minutes, the session one hour. A cure of well-being to revive the sensations of intra-uterine life. Welcome to Vanille Cocoon!
